Welcome - I'm glad you're here!

The Minipause was created for women anywhere on the peri/menopause continuum because it's time to have a safe space to talk candidly about this life-changing transition.

Menopause isn't a dirty word - it's a rite of passage that has been kept in the shadows.

There is a taboo around this transition that creates isolation and shame, so we minimize our lived experience and ‘just push through’.

We don’t know how or what to advocate for.

We’re often told it’s all in our heads by the medical system yet our bodies tell us otherwise.

We’re denied care – not because of our lack of needing it - but rather as a result of decades of minimizing women’s lived experiences under a patriarchal healthcare system.

It's time for something new.

We've got the blueprint for this transition baked into our bones and what if we could do it how women do things best - in community. Gathered around the proverbial fire, carrying the best tools we know to carry, with the best support we know to have, sharing wisdom we've earned and learned along the way.

I'd like to invite you to The Minipause where we'll be dipping a toe into just that!

This is a casual, inclusive event where it doesn't matter if you've showered or not, if you're having a hot flash or forgetting a word and your shit doesn't need to be together - all are welcome!

This is a chance to:

connect with other women on the same journey

explore the narratives we hold about menopause that shape our lives

leave with more clarity & the possibility of finding the gifts of menopause

This is for women who are:

  • Anywhere on the perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause continuum (& younger women that want to learn what to expect!)

  • Interested in learning more about their bodies & how best to care for them now

  • Excited at the thought of straight talk about “taboo” topics

  • Curious about the deeper life & identity shifts this transition brings

  • Feeling like an alien in their own body

  • Needing a safe space to land their heads, hearts and bodies

  • Wanting to know how other women are navigating this experience

  • Longing for community with other inspiring women

  • Feeling lonely, alone and disconnected (I made this ESPECIALLY for you)

  • Passionate about changing the narrative of menopause and women’s health for themselves and future generations

Menopause isn't a disease to be managed.

It's a natural, normal, evolutionary process with intelligence at its core.

Every woman's experience of it is completely unique.

And your experience matters.

At the end of our time together, I'll be sharing an invitation to The Medicine of Menopause - a women's salon that starts in April for those of you who want to go deeper.

Can I ask you a favor? Please pass this invitation along to friends, colleagues & relatives you think would benefit (and to help change the narrative around menopause). Thank you!

You don't have to go it alone - we'll be waiting for you at The Minipause.

MEET YOUR GUIDE:

Lisa Welden
Transformational Coach, Retreat Leader & Integrative Medicine Practitioner

I created this group because it’s what I’ve wanted and needed. Because I don’t want other women to feel alone and isolated in their experience. Because I think there’s a better way to go through this experience and that there is an intelligence to menopause that doesn’t get explored or honored.

Because when we bring light to something that has been hiding in the shadows, it has the opportunity to flourish and transform into a source of strength and empowerment.

For nearly 20 years I've partnered with people to create greater vitality & well-being through an alchemy of Transformational Coaching, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Functional Medicine, Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychology, Equine Experiential Leadership, nutrition, lifestyle alignment and applied kinesiology. At the heart of all my work is helping my clients to create an embodied, heart-centered and trustworthy relationship with themselves which allows them to take tangible steps through the sticky parts of life, and towards what's calling.

KIND WORDS

Star.png

I have been experiencing waves of gratitude for the experience of meeting with all of you wonderful women.   It is amazing to me how powerfully affected I am by having a group of women listen and support me as I stumble and weave along this journey.  I feel like I’m able to look at my stuck areas with more playfulness and compassion.
